The Sonoma County Archives, managed by the Sonoma County Library, is the official repository for many County of Sonoma records designated archival by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. The Archives includes a variety of records created by County of Sonoma departments, offices, commissions, and their employees, and include the historical records of the Board of Supervisors, Permit and Resource Management Department, Sonoma County Courts, and more. The types of records include meeting minutes, actions, project files, reports, photographs, and maps.

The library also maintains some historically significant records from the City of Santa Rosa.

Materials must be requested and will be brought from the Archives to the Library for your use. Call 707-308-3212 with any questions, or to request materials. Please allow five business days for volumes to be delivered to the library.
