Court History

The Santa Rosa City Court was a municipal-level court that handled misdemeanor offenses. The Santa Rosa City Court was the the successor to the Santa Rosa Recorder's Court, and came under the jurisdiction of the Sonoma County Municipal Court following court reorganization and consolidation. The Sonoma County Municipal Court was itself absorbed into the Superior Court following the voter-authorized reorganization in 1998, California Proposition 220.
