 Unprocessed Material
Identifier: HG-2019-008

Content Description

Photographic prints and negatives and local ephemera collected by Harold A. Lapham, a Western Sonoma County historian who served as president of the Sonoma County Historical Society in the 1970s. A bulk of the collection is related to a historical photos project spearheaded by Lapham and photographer Don Silverek covering subjects such as local residents, towns, railroads, logging and farming. A selection of the prints and negatives have been digitized and are accessible to view in the library's Digital Collections. The collection also includes a 1920s photo album belonging to the Prince family (Maurice and Matilda Prince, their son Earl Raymond Prince and daughter-in-law, Tillie Anna Prince), who lived in Santa Rosa, Petaluma and San Francisco. Also included in the collection are three school registers - Jonive School (1884), Joy School District (1904-1908), and Freestone School District (1884-1888).
